The Black Lives Matter Lie – Part II
From Part I:
“For BLM Canada to refuse to answer questions from young Black organizers goes against the spirit of movement.” (Regarding the purchase of the Toronto mansion, which is also called Wildseed Centre for Art and Activism, by BLM leaders, drew criticism from within the organization).
Lies, both great and small, by powerful and corrupt individuals in positions of power, weakens republican democracy.
If the People of the United States fail to recognize the purpose of free speech, that being the ability to speak the truth, is to live inside a lie, and if they chose to reside within a lie, they will become nothing more than a tool to be used by powerful and corrupt individuals in positions of power, for their own benefit. What is more, to live and function within the lie is itself depravity, for it enables powerful and corrupt individuals to remain in authority. But more importantly, to reenforce their authority, to assist them in maintaining control over society, they created an immoral and decadent group to fulfill their needs – to bring about chaos in every major city within the United States. Black Lives Matter is one such group.
Corrupt and immoral power, is a malevolent equivalent of control over a free society, and BLM’s role is to secure and enforce the Democrat National Committee’s attempts to maintain authority, its malicious hold over society through all means necessary, including the use of violence. As such, Black Lives Matter is nothing more than a tool. A tool used to hold down society, to limit enlightenment by restricting information, to harass nonconformers at work, in their home, or while they are about on the town – enjoying a dinner in a restaurant or exiting a playhouse or movie. In other words, regardless of color or ethnicity, BLM is assisting in the recreation of slavery where the Democrat National Committee is the master, but do not despair, for it is the People who are the masters of their own destiny.
The People must rely not on management or trickery, but on their own hearts and souls – they must openly assert virtue and values and disregard personal risks that may come in doing so. The ubiquitous gravitational forces of empire or oligarchy, as the Romans and Greeks were aware of centuries ago, must be countered by the expression of truth through free speech. A republican democracy can only survive by the people who seek to preserve it by taking great risks in the name of virtue. As for the BLM leadership, there remains much to know.
Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors had to step down from her role as executive director of the activist group’s central foundation amid questions about her finances. She was questioned intensely on a series of real estate investments and property purchases, leading to criticism for her perceived opulence all the while claiming to be a Marxist. At the time, Cullors told the press that she was leaving the position to focus on other projects, including the release of her second book and a television deal with Warner Bros. She held the top post at Black Lives Matter for more than five years. She went on to add that it was the right time to leave the organization and asserted that her exit had been planned for more than a year and was unrelated to scrutiny regarding her personal finances. But she did take time to blame right-wing attacks that tried to discredit her character.
Cullors’ finances drew attention in April of 2021, after the New York Post reported she had purchased four homes for $3.2 million. The report prompted Hawk Newsome, the head of Black Lives Matter Greater New York City, to call for an “independent investigation” into the foundation’s finances. “As a result, we did not have the opportunity to serve in this capacity. We wanted to be sure to inform our community of this fact as we move on to serve our movement in other ways,” Makani Themba wrote. As critics have pointed out, Cullors bought the high-end homes despite referring to herself as a “trained Marxist” in the past. “I think I will probably be less visible, because I won’t be at the helm of one of the largest, most contentious groups right now in the history of our movement,” Cullors said regarding her from the foundation.
Critics of BLM have been coming forward over the past year and a half. Rashad Turner, who founded the BLM chapter in St. Paul, Minn., left the group because, he said, it “doesn’t care about black families.” BLM10, a group of 10 former BLM chapters, gave a public statement accusing the leadership lacking credibility and accountability, structural disorganization, and hoarding resources. Furthermore, in an internal financial report for February 2021, BLM claimed it had $60 million on hand after accounting for expenses and grant disbursements. In the report, Twitter impressions, conversations, and the creation of its political action committee – a PAC that supports radically left candidates like Jamaal Bowman (NY) and Cori Bush (Mo.) were mentioned. The report also claimed that the organization disbursed $21.7 million and proudly proclaimed, “We selected 30 local organizations to be our first cohort of official BLM grantees. Of the 30 organizations selected, 23 of them are led by Black LGBTQIA folks and/or directly serve these communities…” It continued: “We have committed a six-figure grant to each of these organizations.” Meanwhile, the issue of police brutality — the ostensible reason why BLM raised funds in the first place was only briefly mentioned. The report stated that BLM “supported the unveiling” of the BREATHE Act, a federal bill calling for divestment from our policing systems, in June 2020. “In 2021,” it adds, “we will be pushing elected officials at the federal and local level to pass the BREATHE Act.”
The BREATHE Act strips away more layers of the progressive onion and brings us even closer to its core ideology. It is directly from the warped deconstructionist mind of George Soros, the culmination of a process begun at the local level with virtually unlimited funding poured into races for district attorney. The worst-case scenario that results from such policies was what we witnessed to our horror in Waukesha, when a dangerous felon set free by the bail reforms of Soros-funded District Attorney John Chisolm destroyed dozens of lives in an instant. Chisholm blamed “human error,” even though the pitiable $1,000 cash bail paid by notorious SUV murderer Darrell Brooks is entirely consistent with the very pronounced set-em-loose stance of Chisolm and his fellow Soros-funded DAs, like Larry Krasner in Philadelphia and Kim Fox (of Jussie Smollett-related fame) in Chicago. The first blush of this incomprehensible proposal came in a recent interview with Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who introduced the bill along with fellow “Squad” member Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) in 2020.
BLM supporters will likely have no issue with its lack of accountability at the top. They would say that since the group still has $60 million on hand, and it disclosed where the remaining dollars went, why then are some still having issues with BLM? The concern should be with anyone who believes in the Black Lives Matter cause, especially those who donated money assuming it was all going toward police reform. It was not. The bottom line is that Black Lives Matter is not, and likely never was, an organization focused on improving policing in America. Advocates for the cause must ask themselves some fundamental questions: Why would the leaders of such a powerful force for good want to remain faceless? If police violence is such a huge problem – and the organization’s main reason for being – why is there so little mention of it on the Web site or in the financial report? But getting answers to these questions, as well as finding out how LGBTQIA folks became the priority of an organization founded to address police brutality, is almost impossible from a nonprofit that’s hiding in the shadows so, ask yourself do black lives truly matter to BLM?
